Building India

The HCC group has made a tremendous contribution to India, and has had a positive impact on its economy. Since its inception in 1926, it has risen to become the countrys foremost construction company, using its expertise for the betterment of this nation.

At the very beginning of it all, armed with a leader that dreamed big, and an indomitable pioneering spirit, HCC undertook its first project in a country that was still under foreign rule. HCC built the Bhor Ghat Tunnel, a remarkable piece of infrastructure, which is still operational today.

During the 50's, which was a tumultuous decade for the rest of the world, HCC flourished, solely due to its relentless perseverance. It was able to give the nation what it needed, at the time it was required the most.

In the 60's, HCC took giant strides in the Hydel/Power sector and tunneling and infrastructure works, rapidly constructing dams, bridges, tunnels and aqueducts.

During the 70's and 80's, HCC brought India into the nuclear plants era, by building nuclear works and plants, and giving the country a platform to stand on, on the world stage.

By the time the 90s arrived, HCC was undertaking projects of a truly gigantic scale. And right till this day, the company has kept up the tradition.

HCC's vision for a better India has been carefully nurtured through the years, and is being realized all the more, every single day.
