As HIV/AIDS Workplace Intervention program gains momentum in the organization and becomes one of the pivotal pillars in the CSR initiatives, HCC has recently announced its HIV/AIDS Workplace Policy. The Policy reflects the importance the Company attaches to the cause of imparting HIV/AIDS awareness to help create a non-discriminating work environment that matches to the international workplace standards.

The Workplace policy aims at

• Educating, sensitizing and creating awareness amongst employees and their families for preventing and minimizing the possibility of HIV infection.
• Creating a safe and supportive work environment for employees affected by HIV/AIDS
• Prevent discrimination in the workplace on the basis of HIV status of a person..

Having covered 17,093 workers and employees at 15 sites since its launch on March 19, 2004, the Company is now focusing at pioneering a graduated acceptance of the disease and creating awareness to achieve complete eradication of new infections in communities we operate.
