May 25, 2023: Dr Subodh Agarwal IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resource Department (WRD) Rajasthan, Mr Alok Ranjan IAS, District Collector Jhalawar and Mr Rajendra Kumar Pareek, Chief Engineer - WRD, Kota, Mr Sabir Hussain, SE WRD Jhalawar, and their team visited Parwan Gravity Dam on 25 May 2023. They visited the dam site where foundation excavation was completed for all dam blocks. The concreting of the left flank up to the trunnion level is completed and the right flank of the dam is in progress. The team also visited the tunnel where the concrete lining of ~ 8 km has been completed out of 8.708 km. The team was satisfied with the progress achieved in the challenging conditions of record rainfall in the recent monsoon.
