March 17, 2023: HCC’s Integrated Nuclear Recycle Plant (INRP) Project (Phase I) at BARC Tarapur was bestowed with National Safety Council Safety Awards 2022. The Project Manager – Mr SN Santosh Kumar along with IMS team from Head Office and Mr Biplab Das, Head of Nuclear Recycle Board (NRB) Safety of BARC received the award at a function held at Panjim, Goa on 17 March 2023. The project had also got National Safety Council Prashnsa Patra in recognition of their good performance in Occupational Safety and Health during the year 2021 and 2020. This project is part of the first phase of new INRP being built to process spent fuel from upcoming nuclear power plants including Haryana, RAPP 7, Kakrapara and future Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs).
